Elegant Kitchen Design and Custom Addition Progress Shots by Drone

Post & Images by Jack McIntyre

Every so often, we’re presented with opportunities too good to pass up. In this post, we traveled to New Jersey to photograph a stunning kitchen, then headed to Bryn Mawr with our drone to capture the progress of a beautiful new addition on a classic stone home.

Details matter. As you browse the images below, you’ll notice thoughtful design at every angle—from the family crest etched on a glass sliding door, to the dual wine fridge with dedicated martini glass freezer drawers, and so much more. I’ll let the photos speak for themselves—enjoy. This masterpiece was the vision of the owner with careful guidance from Cameo Consulting, LLC. They know the custom contractors to handle your custom needs so be sure to contact Claudia Affannato at cja428@comcast.net.

There’s nothing better than a warm room…

That sounds cozy—and creatively inspiring! A warm room can bring out rich tones, soft lighting, and a welcoming atmosphere in photos. Whether it’s golden-hour sunlight streaming through a window, the glow of a lamp on wooden furniture, or textures like blankets and books, there’s a lot to capture.

So many examples to come, we are working on uploading our work now.

Real Estate shoots in the Rain, Don’t worry about it…

At some point, we are all tired of the rain, the grey skies, and the terribly wet conditions everywhere. No need to fear the winter looking skies in the spring, when we edit, it’s our priority to see to it that every color is perfect, the skies are blue & sunny, and dark rooms become bright. So keep busy, get your listings up using images that you can count on being great.

HI RESOLUTION PHOTOGRAPHY

What is High-resolution real estate photography? It refers to professionally captured images of a property using high-quality cameras and techniques that produce sharp, detailed, and visually appealing photos. These images are typically taken with DSLR or mirrorless cameras, often using wide-angle lenses, proper lighting, HDR (High Dynamic Range) processing, and careful post-editing to enhance colors, contrast, and clarity.

✅ Key Features of High-Resolution Real Estate Photography:

  • Image clarity: Crisp and clear images with fine detail.
  • Accurate color representation: True-to-life colors that reflect the actual feel of the space.
  • Wide-angle perspective: Captures more of the room in one shot, giving buyers a better sense of layout and space.
  • Professional composition: Angles and lighting are chosen to highlight the home’s best features.
  • Staging and styling: Often includes thoughtful arrangement or virtual staging to make the home feel more inviting.

💡 How It Benefits a Realtor’s Effort to Sell a Home:

  1. First Impressions Matter
    • Over 90% of home buyers start their search online. High-quality images grab attention immediately and create a strong first impression.
    • Poor or blurry photos can cause potential buyers to skip the listing altogether.
  2. Increased Online Engagement
    • Listings with professional photos receive significantly more views and shares on platforms like Zillow, Realtor.com, MLS, and social media.
  3. Faster Sales
    • Homes with high-res professional photos tend to sell faster. Buyers are more likely to schedule showings if the photos inspire confidence and interest.
  4. Higher Sale Price
    • Professionally photographed listings often sell for more. They communicate higher value, professionalism, and pride in the home.
  5. Branding for the Realtor
    • Consistently using high-quality visuals helps build a realtor’s personal brand and reputation for quality and care, attracting future sellers and buyers.
  6. Better Marketing Materials
    • High-res images can be used in brochures, mailers, online ads, and virtual tours, helping to create a polished, multi-channel marketing campaign.

High-resolution real estate photography is not just about pretty pictures—it’s a strategic marketing tool. It helps properties stand out in a competitive market, draws in serious buyers, and boosts the perceived value of the home. For realtors, it’s an investment that often yields faster sales, better offers, and a stronger personal brand.

Capturing the Best Real Estate Aerial Photos.

Aerial real estate photography involves capturing images of a property from elevated angles, typically using drones or aircraft. These photos provide a bird’s-eye view of the home and surrounding area, giving potential buyers a unique and comprehensive perspective that ground-level photos can’t offer.

🚁 What Is Included in Aerial Real Estate Photography?

  • Overhead shots of the entire property, including landscaping, roof condition, driveways, and pools.
  • Neighborhood context, showing proximity to parks, schools, waterfronts, or downtown areas.
  • 360-degree drone views or flyover videos (in some cases).
  • Property boundaries and lot size visualization (helpful for large parcels or rural properties).

💡 How Aerial Photography Benefits a Realtor’s Effort to Sell a Home:

1. Showcases the Full Property

  • Great for large lots, farms, estates, or homes with significant landscaping or outdoor features.
  • Helps buyers see the scale and layout of the property more clearly.

2. Highlights Location Advantages

  • It may shows the nearby amenities depending on the request (e.g. beaches, golf courses, schools, city centers).
  • Emphasizes privacy, scenic views, or unique positioning (e.g. corner lot, cul-de-sac).

3. Creates Visual Impact

  • Drone photos are eye-catching and differentiate the listing from others.
  • Helps listings stand out on websites, social media, and marketing materials.

4. Builds Buyer Confidence

  • Aerial shots show transparency—buyers can assess roof condition, lot size, and surroundings.
  • Useful for out-of-town buyers who may rely heavily on visuals before visiting.

5. Enhances Storytelling in Marketing

  • When paired with high-resolution interior photography and video tours, aerial imagery contributes to a compelling, complete narrative about the home.

6. Supports Premium Branding

  • Suggests the listing is high-end or unique, which can justify higher asking prices and attract serious buyers.
  • Builds the realtor’s personal brand as someone who invests in quality, modern marketing tools.

🏆

Aerial real estate photography gives buyers the full picture—literally. It allows them to see not just the home, but how it fits into its surroundings, offering an elevated perspective that builds interest and trust. For realtors, it’s a powerful tool to make listings stand out, market properties more effectively, and close deals faster—especially for premium, rural, or large-lot homes.

PROFESSIONAL IMAGE EDITING WITHIN 24 HOURS

Great image editing is crucial in real estate photography because it significantly enhances a property’s visual appeal, which directly influences buyer interest and perception. Here’s a breakdown of why it’s so important:

✅ 1. First Impressions Matter

  • Most buyers start online. Listings with high-quality, well-edited photos are more likely to grab attention.
  • A polished image can make a property stand out in a crowded market, increasing click-through rates and inquiries.

✅ 2. Enhances Lighting and Color

  • Cameras often struggle to balance indoor and outdoor light or capture true-to-life colors.
  • Editing corrects:
    • Overexposure or underexposure
    • White balance (avoids yellow or blue tints)
    • Color vibrancy, making rooms feel warmer and more inviting

✅ 3. Highlights Key Selling Points

  • Editing helps draw attention to desirable features like:
    • Natural light
    • Spaciousness
    • Clean lines and finishes
  • It can subtly enhance these elements without misrepresenting the property.

✅ 4. Creates Consistency Across a Listing

  • A uniform look across all images helps create a cohesive visual story of the home.
  • This professional polish builds trust with potential buyers.

✅ 5. Removes Distractions

  • Photo editing can clean up:
    • Minor blemishes (scuffs, wires, clutter)
    • Harsh shadows or reflections
    • Lens distortion or perspective issues
  • These small adjustments can make a room feel more organized, spacious, and appealing.

✅ 6. Supports Faster Sales and Higher Offers

  • Homes marketed with professional, edited photography tend to sell faster and closer to asking price, or even above.
  • This isn’t just about beauty—it’s a strategic investment in the marketing of a property.

⚠️ Important Note:

  • While editing is powerful, it must never mislead buyers. Ethically, it should enhance reality, not fabricate it.

Great image editing transforms decent photos into powerful marketing tools. In real estate, where visual presentation is key to driving buyer interest, professional editing helps properties make the best possible impression—online and off.

Floor plans made with a revolutionary technology.

A digital floor plan is a visual layout of a home that shows the arrangement, dimensions, and flow of rooms from a top-down perspective. When combined with real estate photography, it becomes a powerful marketing tool that enhances the buyer experience and increases the likelihood of a sale.

🏠 What Is a Digital Floor Plan in Real Estate?

  • A graphical representation of a property’s layout.
  • Often includes room labels, measurements, walls, doors, and windows.
  • Can be 2D or 3D, and sometimes interactive (e.g. clickable or part of a virtual tour).
  • Frequently created using laser measurement tools, photography overlays, or CAD software.

✅ Why It’s a Great Tool for Real Estate Photography

1. Provides Context for the Photos

  • Helps buyers understand where each photographed room is located within the home.
  • Clarifies how rooms connect and the overall flow of the space.
  • Makes interior photos more meaningful—buyers can mentally “place” each image.

2. Enhances Online Listings

  • Listings with floor plans are more informative and engaging.
  • They increase click-through rates and time spent viewing the property online.
  • Digital floor plans paired with high-res photos offer a complete visual package.

3. Supports Remote or Out-of-Town Buyers

  • Helps buyers who can’t visit in person get a realistic sense of the space.
  • Paired with virtual tours or 3D walkthroughs, floor plans increase buyer confidence.

4. Highlights the Home’s Potential

  • Buyers can visualize how they’d use the space—or even remodel it.
  • Great for showcasing open-concept layouts, flexible spaces, or potential additions.

5. Differentiates the Listing

  • Not all listings include floor plans. Adding one can make your property stand out in a competitive market.
  • Signals professionalism and attention to detail, which reflects well on the realtor and seller.

💡 How It Helps Sell a Home Faster

BenefitImpact on Selling a Home
Better space visualizationReduces uncertainty, encourages showings
Enhances online engagementKeeps buyers on the listing longer
Appeals to serious buyersGives critical info early in the buying process
Complements photographyCreates a more complete and trustworthy listing
Saves time for everyoneFilters out buyers who need specific layouts

📈 BONUS: Statistics That Back It Up

  • Listings with floor plans generate up to 30% more interest online.
  • A study by Rightmove (UK) showed 1 in 5 buyers would ignore a listing that didn’t include a floor plan.

A digital floor plan is more than just a diagram—it’s a visual storytelling tool. When combined with high-quality photography, it gives buyers a full picture of the property’s layout, flow, and potential. For realtors, it builds credibility, increases engagement, and helps move listings faster by answering one of the most common buyer questions: “How does the space actually fit together?”
